OJ Simpson flees the scene of his wife’s murder and the chase is caught on camera. OJ goes on to plead not guilty to the murder and is set free after hiring some of the country’s best lawyers.

The case became infamous and caught the imaginations of millions. Even the top echelons of politics were intrigued by the balance of proof on both sides and the fact that a previously watertight prosecution faced losing the case over racial politics.

Simpson was later found guilty in a civil trial of wrongfully causing the deaths of Ronald Goldman and Nicole Simpson Brown. New evidence, a lower burden of proof and a hard-line judge saw Simpson fined $8.5 million in compensation and $25 million in punitive damages.
