When the Big Breakfast first started, I didn’t really like it. Perhaps I was too young? Perhaps Chris Evans was just a bit of a nobhead? I don’t know, however, when Jonny Vaughan and Denise Van Outen took over, the Big Breakfast became great.

For a couple of brief years, most people were united in their choice of breakfast television in the UK, as most people watched the Big Breakfast.

Despite their news being a little too colourful, and their over-reliance on the puppets Zig and Zag – not to mention Richard Bacon – JV and DVO pulled the whole sorry affair together and made it something watchable. In my opinion.

Unfortunately, both left the show and it was axed soon after, to be replaced with the laughable and equally doomed RI:SE, which was, by all accounts, rubbish.

As my name suggests, I was born in the early 80s, the things I write about will be late 80s onwards. Pretty much my earliest coherent memories are of Italia 90, which gives you some clues! I'm English. I'll update this profile bit some more soon!
