But that was because we couldn't make a straight one! We got into SO much trouble from the teachers at school. And, the swap from centre parting (when I had pigtails) to side partings in my teens and 20s, to no parting in my 30s left me with umpteen partings for my hair to chose. Alas, it is now permanently zig-zag, which would give Miss Mackafee the keniptions if she saw me now. But then, she would be 152 probably, so I doubt she would see me... unless, of course, she's looking down from Up There. Oh, glory be... probably hundreds of angels saying: "look at that woman.
