Before the time when everyone had a Tv in their room, on their phones, on their computers, maybe even attached to their face.. kids used to read. Kids used to read all the time. (I’m sure they still read a lot now… I’m sure they read this website ;) )

The mothers helper, the baby sitter, the waitress, the boyfriend, the girl friend, the life guard… The point horror list is endless.

If you wern’t reading the american Point Horror books throughout the 90′s then, lets face it, you really wern’t that cool were you?

I remember staying up late with my little reading lamp on being totally transfixed and absolutely petrified of the words flying off the pages. I had at least two massive boxes of Point Horror books and was proud of it!
The Point Horror books were around for ages, from the late 80′s until the early 2000′s. My guess is that they fizzled out because there’s more to watch on TV and films these days with the likes of Twilight and I guess kids these days don’t get scared as much as we did back then! We used to r-e-a-d.

The youth today mainly w-a-t-c-h!
