I remember watching this thing when I was a child. I am not altogether sure that I enjoyed it, but TV was a pretty straightforward game back in 1991, you had your basic 4 channels in Britain, and only one of them showed children’s TV without adverts, so it was this or art attack.

Come to think of it, we probably didn’t have a remote control, either, so this must have just stayed on by accident, but the little song above does bring back distinct nostalgia pangs even though I didn’t really enjoy the programme. Weird? I dunno, whether you liked it or not, if you remember this show “Five Children and It” from back in the early 90s on BBC, leave us a comment below about this, and hit the Facebook  “like” button at the very bottom to show your friends that you remember this slightly macabre classic.

I lnow this show went out in the USA too, as well as the UK, where the “Psammead” was known as the “sand fairy”.
