Imagine a family made of spoons and baked bean tins living in outer space and you have Button Moon. Mr and Mrs Spoon live with their daughter, Tina Teaspoon, on Button Moon and watched the action on other planets through their telescope.

Button Moon was created by Ian Allen and John Thirtle and ran from 1980 to 1987. The Button Moon theme tune was sung by husband and wife duo Peter Davison (Dr Who) and Sandra Dickinson (Trillion in the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy).
