A Muppet Family Christmas is a 1987 Christmas television special starring Jim Henson’s Muppets.

Fozzie Bear’s mother thinks she has it all worked out for Christmas. She is going to California for the holidays and is renting out her home to the quiet and unassuming Doc. Until Fozzie comes home bringing all of his Muppet friends. The Sesame Street gang turn up as carolers and then Kermit and his nephew Robin discorver a Fraggle Rock hole in the basement. A storm blows over and everyone gets snowed in but Miss Piggy makes it in time for everyone to be together for Christmas.

Miss Piggy had been busy doing a photo-shoot and the Swedish chef chases after the turkey for dinner. Nobody remembers to watch out for the icy patch and poor Fozzie’s mother has to put everyone up.

This film features the second on-screen appearance of Jim Henson in a Muppet feature; he can be seen in the kitchen doing dishes towards the end of the movie.
