I remember watching the Sinbad films on a weekend. I always thought the creatures were really funny because they didn’t move properly and the special effects were always shaky, when in fact they were ground breaking in their time -created by the same man who did special effects for Jason and the Argonauts.
The Sinbad films came in a trilogy. They included: The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, The Golden Voyage of Sinbad and Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger.
The first installment follows Sinbad as he battles to lift a curse on a princess who has been shrunk by an evil wizard.
The second story tells of how Sinbad helps the Grand Vizier solve a puzzle which would lead to magical treasure and help to heal his disfigured face. Sinbad battles many magical creatures as well as an invisible man.
The thirds installment is the story of how Sinbad restores Prince Kassim to human form after he has been turned into an ape by his evil step-mother. Sinbad asks for the hand of his beautiful sister, Princess Farah.
Just check out these special effects -my favourite is the little green men in this clip:
