This advert came out in the UK in 1993. It was an instant hit and many people still sing the  lines and ice cream vans play the tune:

From Wall’s Ice Cream

The theme is “O Sole Mio” written in 1898. The lyrics were written by Giovanni Capurro, and the melody was composed by Eduardo di Capua.

    I thought it was “delicious Ice Cream / from Italy” but listening again, I really can’t tell…

    Yeah, I agree with Rob, I’m pretty sure the line was delicious ice cream ..from Italy.

    well i thought it was just one bombetto not the ice cream i need a song forr me to sing.

    I am italian and I was in the UK on that time of “cornetto”.
    I loved this spot and it is still funny nowadays!
