Cleopatra - gone but not forgotten?
For no reason at all, I today remembered this three-piece girl group, Cleopatra, who came at us in the 1990s with not only a theme tune (Cleopatra’s Theme, AKA “Cleopatra Coming At Ya”), but a really lame TV programme which was, from hazy recollection, on childrens ITV.
I don’t remember much else about them, but it seems they are still going strong on the paerty circuit (probably playing student venues, though the students of today may need to MySpace them to have any idea why they are appearing!).
Just makes me think of bygone years to think of them – play the video, you’ll remember why they disappeared, I reckon.
