Enter the Dragon was almost as life-changing for 70′s kids as James Bond. Dangerous, exotic and full of epic fight scenes, Bruce Lee’s films marked a new era for the West -martial arts had arrived. Everyone wanted to learn Kung-Fu or Karate. Kids all over Europe and America sought the secrets and mastery of Chinese and Japanese fighting wisdom. Bruce Lee was seen as the epitome of human physical fitness and thousands wanted to kick just like him.
Amongst the most memorable of Lee’s actions were kicking out a light bulb, doing handstand press ups and making a weird high-pitched noise when about to attack.
The film itself was quite poorly made and acted but was saved by its originality, perfectly executed fight scenes and the magnetism of Lee’s performance and movement. Anyone who needs the motivation to get fit need only watch a few Bruce Lee films. You can’t look at his amazing high kicks and taut muscles without fancying trying it yourself!
